Home for the Holidays in Harbor Springs
Harbor Springs celebrates the holidays in a big way with Home for the Holidays. The celebration begins the Saturday after Thanksgiving with the arrival of Santa, holiday movies, and the lighting of the Christmas tree.
The day begins with "The Christmas Story" at 11am showing at the Lyric Theatre followed by the arrival of Santa on a firetruck.
The Christmas tree lighting takes place on Saturday evening with ceremonies at 6:30pm. The evening includes chili at the Holy Childhood Community Center, carols, and hot chocolate. The community tradition around the Christmas tree in the middle of Main Street kicks off the Christmas and holiday season.
Home for the Holidays continues on December 1, 6-9pm for the Merchant's Open House. Santa, the Petoskey Steel Drum Band and holiday specials throughout downtown Harbor Springs are on tap for the special evening.
