Home for the Holidays Celebration in Harbor Springs

Harbor Springs celebrates the holidays in a big way this year with Home for the Holidays November 21-December 10.The celebration begins on November 21 and 22 when children at Blackbird and Shay Elementary Schools, Harbor Light and Concord Academy receive ornaments that can be decorated for the Community Christmas Tree.
Two tree lighting ceremonies take place on Friday, November 25: 5:30pm in Cross Village and 6:30pm in Harbor Springs. The tree lighting in Harbor Springs includes chili at the Methodist Church, a visit by Santa, carols by school children, bell ringers, hot chocolate, ornament awards, special Christmas gifts for children, and gingerbread house viewing at Stafford's Pier.
On Saturday, November 26, throughout the day in Harbor Springs will be music performed by various community banks, corral, and music groups. Chili will be served at the American Legion and the Boy Scouts will be pouring hot chocolate from downtown locations. Shoppers will find special holiday events in many businesses.
Home for the Holidays continues on December 10, 6-8pm for the Christmas Open House. Gingerbread house judging, Santa, the Petoskey Steel Drum and Jazz Bands and holiday specials throughout downtown Harbor Springs are on tap for the special evening.
