Up Fourth North Celebration in Charlevoix

Food, music, and more are on tap for Charlevoix's Up Fourth North, July 7, 4-10pm, in East Park along the Round Lake waterfront. This is the schedule for 2011; check back in 2012 for the new lineup.Because Charlevoix's major summer celebration is Venetian Festival, July 4th fun has not been on top: but it is now! Join in for this first ever Northern Michigan festival in downtown Charlevoix.
Music will be in the air from Delilah DeWylde and the Lost Boys and the "Afro-Caribbean-Barnyard-Funk" of Euforquestra. Children will be entertained by hula hoopers and West African drummers. The entertainment takes place at East Park's Odmark Performance Pavilion.
Throughout the festival grounds will be food, drinks and beer. Shorts Brewery will have 10 types of beer available for tastings. Pulled pork and whitefish tacos are among the foods to be served. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
